Five killed as old enmity sparks armed clash in Larkana
LARKANA – Five people lost their lives when an armed clash erupted between two rival groups due to old enmity in Larkana on Saturday. The armed clash took place between two groups of the Ghangro clan in Reto Dero. The dead were lat-er identified as Riaz Hussain
Ghangro, Rajab Ali, Qurban Ali, Bilawal Ghangro and one pedestrian, Abdullah Brohi. Police said that both rivals are relatives. Soon after receiving the report, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies to Taluqa Hospital, Reto Dero. Earlier on September 24, 2026, four people, including two brothers, were killed when armed motorcy-clists opened fire on a car near the Shereen Amir Begum overhead bridge, close to the Lahori Regula-tor on the Rice Canal, within the jurisdiction of Civil Lines police station in Larkana. The car was travelling to Naudero after a court hearing when it came under attack, as a 14-year-old land dispute between two factions of the Khokhar tribe, from Goth Hassan Wahan, which has already claimed seven lives, flared up again. Those killed on the spot were Allah Warayo Khokhar, his brother Mansoor Ali Khokhar, their uncle Ali Sher Khokhar, and the car’s driver, Ghulam Mohiuddin Manganejo. Their cousin, Yar Muhammad Kho-khar, was critically injured in the firing.

The attack sparked panic in the area. Sindh’s Chief Minister and Home Minister, along with the Inspec-tor General of Police and the Deputy Inspector General of Larkana, have taken notice of the incident and sought reports from officials. Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the killing of five people in Ratodero and sought a report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh. The Chief Minister has directed the police to bring those involved in the killings to justice and ordered immediate measures to ensure peace in the area. Shah expressed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the forgiveness of the de-ceased. He said that the loss of human lives in tribal disputes is extremely disappointing.
