RIP: Beautiful Photos Of Woman Who Was Shot Dead By Husband In Bedroom After Dispute

Photos have emerged of Jennifer Kweka, a Tanzanian woman who was shot and killed by her husband inside their home in Bunju A, Dar es Salaam.

Jennifer was reportedly shot inside the couple’s bedroom by her legally married husband, Raulent Kweka, following a disagreement between them. The incident happened at around 5:15am at their home in the Senzere area, leaving neighbours shocked and wondering what could have led to the tragic incident.

The couple’s housemaid is said to have raised the alarm after the shooting. She alerted neighbours, who then contacted the local neighbourhood chairwoman, Russia Agustino Shirima, as well as police officers at Mabwepande.

Shirima said she quickly went to the house after receiving the call. When she arrived, she found several neighbours gathered outside, unsure of what had happened.

After speaking to the housemaid, Shirima learnt that Jennifer had allegedly been shot by her husband.

Police and local officials were called to the scene. Jennifer was found lying inside the bedroom with a gunshot wound to the head.

The authorities secured the area as they began looking into what had happened. By the time Shirima arrived, Raulent had already left the house, reportedly carrying his bag.

She later received information that Raulent had allegedly gone to Kawe Police Station to surrender. However, Shirima said she could not personally confirm whether he had actually handed himself over.

The tragedy has also raised questions about problems that may have existed in the couple’s marriage before the shooting.

Shirima revealed that letters from the Social Welfare Department had been taken to the couple’s home in the weeks before the incident.

She had helped deliver some of the letters but said she did not know what they contained.

After speaking to the woman who brought the letters, Shirima learnt that Jennifer had reportedly made a complaint about her husband to the Social Welfare Department.

A neighbour, Aisha Mwenda, said she heard what sounded like one gunshot early in the morning. She initially did not know where the sound had come from and only learnt later that it had allegedly been fired inside Jennifer’s home.

Police are expected to establish what led to the shooting and clarify the circumstances surrounding Jennifer’s death.
