According to a report by Ghpage News today being Saturday, October 3, 2026, an Uber driver operating in Kasoa has reportedly recounted a disturbing experience after three women who booked his vehicle for a non-stop journey along the Suhum-Nsawam route allegedly took him to an apartment and prevented him from leaving.

According to the driver, he accepted the booking believing it was an ordinary ride. He said the women directed him to an apartment after the trip, where he entered without expecting any unusual incident.

The driver alleged that shortly after he entered the apartment, one of the women locked the door. He said the women then began making unwanted physical advances towards him.

He reportedly told them to stop, explaining that he had to leave so he could continue working and attend to other customers. However, according to his account, one of the women allegedly pushed him onto a bed while the other two restrained him.

The driver claimed that he was held against his will and was unable to leave the room. He further alleged that the women continued to engage in unwanted sexual contact despite his objections.

The account has generated concerns about the safety of ride-hailing drivers, particularly those who accept bookings from people they do not know and are subsequently directed to private residences.
