Five dead in armed clash between rivals in Larkana

Five people lost their lives when an armed clash erupted between two rival groups due to old enmity in Larkana on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The armed clash took place between two groups of the Ghangro clan in Reto Dero. The dead were later identified as Riaz Hussain Ghangro, Rajab Ali, Qurban Ali, Bilawal Ghangro and one pedestrian, Abdullah Brohi.

Police said that both rivals are relatives. Soon after receiving the report, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies to Taluqa Hospital, Reto Dero.

Earlier on September 24, 2026, four people, including two brothers, were killed when armed motorcyclists opened fire on a car near the Shereen Amir Begum overhead bridge, close to the Lahori Regulator on the Rice Canal, within the jurisdiction of Civil Lines police station in Larkana.

The car was travelling to Naudero after a court hearing when it came under attack, as a 14-year-old land dispute between two factions of the Khokhar tribe, from Goth Hassan Wahan, which has already claimed seven lives, flared up again.

Those killed on the spot were Allah Warayo Khokhar, his brother Mansoor Ali Khokhar, their uncle Ali Sher Khokhar, and the car’s driver, Ghulam Mohiuddin Manganejo. Their cousin, Yar Muhammad Khokhar, was critically injured in the firing.

The attack sparked panic in the area. Sindh’s Chief Minister and Home Minister, along with the Inspector General of Police and the Deputy Inspector General of Larkana, have taken notice of the incident and sought reports from officials.
