Pakistan strikes kill 22 terrorists in Afghanistan, camps destroyed

ISLAMABAD  –  The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MOIB) on Thursday said that the “precise aerial and drone” strikes comprehensively destroyed terrorist hideout and camps belonging to Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan at two locations in areas under the control of the Afghan Taliban regime.

The MoIB shared a video clip as well on its social media accounts along with the latest update on operation Ghazab lil Haq. “Large quantities of weapons and ammunition stockpiled at the terrorist hideouts / camps were also destroyed through calibrated and precisely targeted aerial strikes,” it added.

Reportedly, Pakistan conducted further air strikes on Afghanistan, killing several people, the Taliban government said.

Information ministry confirmed the strikes, which it said killed twenty-two terrorists.

Pakistani sources said that the “well-planned and calibrated” attack targeted “terrorist camps” in Afghanistan, where large quantities of weapons and ammunition were stored.

Maximum precautions were taken to ensure no collateral damage occurred, Pakistan’s information ministry said.

An eyewitness from Garmsir, Qudratullah, said the airstrikes started around 03:30 local time (00:00 BST) and continued for 30 minutes.
