FULL LIST: Local Gov’t Minister Arrests Over 21 Civil Servants in Pallisa

Local Government Minister, Hon. Balaam Barugahara has ordered for the arrest and interdiction of over 21 civil servants in his latest ‘Expose The Corrupt’ campaign.

The officials who were arrested on Thursday, 1st October, 2026 are; RDC – Dikusoka Majidu, Deputy CAO – Areu Simon Peter, Principal HR & Secretary District Service Commission – Charles and former CAO – Felix Majeme (Current CAO Oyam District).

Others are: DHO – Dr. Godfrey Mulekwa,. DEO – Ronald Omutujju, Senior HR – Tadeyo Francis, Water Engineer – Hannington Opendu, CFO – Kirya Herbert, Inspector of Schools – Opedun John, and District Principal Auditor – Kirya Emmanuel.

The list also includes Senior Procurement Officer- Apollo Opongoru, District Planner – Robert Mukesi,. DCDO – George Onyait, Production Officer – Dr. Michael Okwalinga, Senior Assistant CAO – Samson Emasit Okurut, Assistant CAO – Aabayas Aaron, Records Assistant Officer – Jessica,. Treasurer – Okiria Silva, Town Clerk Agule TC – Opolot Ferdinand and Accountant Kameke Sub-County- Kirya Joseph.

Reports indicate that two Engineers are yet to be arrested and added to the list.
