YSRCP, Left parties flay govt.’s ‘flawed approach’ to BC reservation issue

Following High Court striking down 34% BC quota, leaders of the opposition parties accuse State govt. of not trying for a Constitutional amendment in spite of being aware of legal hurdles in crossing 50% overall ceiling:The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), the CPI and the CPI(M) have criticised the State government following the High Court’s decision to strike down G.O.s 105 and 1065 providing 34% reservation for BCs in rural local bodies and 33.33% in urban local bodies.
