Today’s Headlines: ’Tinubu Must Go’: Governors racing to impress Presidency at expense of Nigerians — ADC campaign, Asa Asika declares Davido the most powerful young Nigerian
ABUJA – The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council, ADC PCC, has condemned the arrest of members of the ‘Tinubu Must Go’ (TMG) movement in Maiduguri, Borno State, describing it as an alleged abuse of power by Governor Babagana Zulum’s administration.
The council said the arrests showed how far political opposition could be suppressed when citizens publicly express views against the government, insisting that the right to political expression must be protected ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan, the ADC PCC accused the Borno State government of trying to intimidate and silence citizens opposed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Renowned Nigerian talent manager, Asa Asika crowned singer and friend, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, as the most influential Nigerian under 40.
The manager, while speaking on the Manager’s Playbook podcast, hosted by Mauricio Ruiz, stated that Davido is the most followed Nigerian on almost all social media platforms.
He also claimed that so many other artists would not survive the kind of scandals that Davido has been through during the course of his career.

Beneficiaries across Kebbi State have commended an All Progressives Congress chieftain and content creator, Adam Fakai, for spending N20m from the proceeds of his content creation on an empowerment programme for 1,000 people.
The beneficiaries cut across widows, widowers, farmers, artisans, homeless people and other vulnerable members of the communities.
Fakai, who uses his social media platforms to document development projects and highlight issues affecting communities, said the intervention was aimed at addressing some of the immediate needs of people within his community.
Yahanasu Kabir, a widower from Garin Awwal and one of the beneficiaries, described the initiative as unique because it cuts across age and gender.
