“This Is Not What You Told Me” – Jarvis Threatens To Sue Peller Over Alleged Plan To Marry Second Muslim Wife

Jarvis has threatened to sue her husband, Peller, after he allegedly told her that he plans to marry a second wife who must be a Muslim.

In an audio from a heated argument between the couple currently circulating online, Jarvis expressed anger over the development, insisting that Peller had not discussed such plans with her before their marriage.

She said: “I will sue Peller. He’s telling me he’s a Muslim and that he will marry a Muslim girl. Our marriage is not even up to four months, and he’s already threatening to get a second wife—and she must be a Muslim like him. This is not what you told me before I agreed to marry you.”

Jarvis and Peller formalised their union with a court wedding in Lagos on July 29, 2026, before their traditional and white wedding ceremonies in early August.

Their marriage has previously attracted public discussion over whether a statutory marriage under the Marriage Act prevents a Muslim man from subsequently taking another wife through a Nikkah ceremony. Some Nigerian legal practitioners have argued that the issue is more complex and that a court marriage does not necessarily prevent a subsequent Islamic marriage under certain circumstances.

The latest exchange has now triggered reactions online, with some social media users questioning whether the couple’s repeated public disagreements are part of their content.

The clip has also renewed discussions around the couple’s differing religious backgrounds and earlier comments about their faith.
