Security force kill six terrorists in Balochistan, destroy hideouts in KP’s Waziristan
ISLAMABAD : Security forces have killed six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Kachhi district, while several militant hideouts were destroyed during a separate operation in North Waziristan.
The operation in an area of Kachhi targeted militants belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan. The terrorists were successfully targeted using quadcopters, the sources said.
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants, while a clearance operation is continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence.
Separately, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, where several hideouts belonging to militants were destroyed.
The operation also destroyed militant tunnels and led to the recovery of a large quantity of explosive material. Several terrorists were reportedly killed during the operation.
Explosive material recovered during the search operation was subsequently neutralised with the assistance of the bomb disposal squad.
Security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism and establishing lasting peace.
