Minister stresses maximum facilities for hospital patients
LAHORE – Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that providing maximum facilities to patients in hospitals is the top priority of the Punjab government. He expressed these views during his visit to ‘Aapka Clinic’ here on Wednesday, where he was received by former Health Minister Professor Javed Akram. The provincial minister toured various departments of the facility. Khawaja Salman Rafique said that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, efforts were being made to provide the best healthcare facilities to the people. He said those who served humanity held a very high status in the eyes of Allah Almighty and prayed that Allah Almighty accept the efforts of those engaged in serving humanity. The minister appreciated the provision of free medical treatment to more than 400 patients daily at ‘Aapka Clinic’ and lauded Professor Javed Akram’s valuable contributions to the medical field. Professor Javed Akram said Khawaja Salman Rafique was devoting all his energies to improving the health sector. He affirmed that the journey of serving suffering humanity would continue. During the visit, the provincial health minister also distributed free hearing aids among four children. Professor Shahla Javed Akram, Professor Nusratullah Chaudhry, Professor Khalid Mahmood and others were present on the occasion.
