The forecast covers regions stretching from the Coast to Western Kenya, Central Kenya, parts of the Rift Valley, Eastern Kenya, North Eastern and Nairobi.
Among the counties named in the latest outlook are Nairobi, Kiambu, Murang’a, Nyeri, Nyandarua, Embu, Kirinyaga, Nakuru, Laikipia, Machakos, Makueni and Kitui.
Residents in parts of Western Kenya should also remain attentive, with Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, Kisumu, Bomet, Kericho, Kisii, Nyamira and Elgeyo Marakwet included in the forecast.
Coastal areas are not left out, with Lamu, Kwale, Kilifi, Mombasa, Tana River and Taita Taveta expected to experience rainfall in some locations. Parts of North Eastern Kenya, including Mandera, Garissa and Wajir, may also receive showers.
The latest forecast comes as Kenya moves closer to the October-December rainfall season. Kenya Met has indicated that wetter conditions are expected to become more prominent during the season, although rainfall amounts will differ from one region to another.
Motorists, farmers and residents living in areas prone to flooding are encouraged to follow updated weather information before making plans.
With the forecast stretching into the first days of October, Kenyans may need to keep umbrellas and raincoats close as the weather takes another turn.
