God Punished Besigye For Insulting My Mighty Army & Plotting Against His Anointed King – Gen Muhoozi
Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has said God was responsible for the arrest of opposition politician Dr Kizza Besigye, accusing him of disrespecting the army and allegedly plotting to kill President Yoweri Museveni.
In a post on X, Muhoozi described the army as God’s “Mighty Army” and referred to Museveni as “God’s Anointed King.”“I did not capture Besigye. It was God Himself.
He did it because Besigye insulted His Mighty Army and plotted to kill God’s Anointed King. He will not escape his punishment,” Muhoozi wrote.
The CDF’s comments come amid Besigye’s ongoing court case, in which he faces serious allegations that he has denied.
Muhoozi’s remarks have sparked interest because they present Besigye’s arrest as an act of divine intervention rather than a security operation. Besigye has been one of three facing treason charge after his arrest in Kenya in 2024.
In the recent ministerial appointment, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni gave Lango only 4 ministerial slots, the same number as during his 2021-2026 government.
