Atiku And Obi: Whatever I Am Saying, You Might Not Like It, But I’m Just A Messenger —Elijah Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele has commented on former vice president Atiku Abubakar and former governor of Anambra state Peter Obi in advance of the 2027 presidential election as political activities heat up.

Ayodele explained that his remarks regarding the two politicians were based on what he believes he has been shown about the political environment before the election in a video he posted on Facebook on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

The cleric conceded that Atiku and Obi may not always agree with his warnings or predictions, but claimed that his function was to relay the message he feels he has received.

“I’m only a messenger, even if you don’t like what I’m saying,” he said.

Ayodele stated that he did not want his remarks to be perceived as telling the two politicians what they wanted to hear, but rather as communicating what he felt he had been shown about their political situation.

Political leaders, according to him, ought to listen to guidance and cautions, even if it is unpleasant or difficult to accept them.

Candidates should analyze their tactics and the political climate around their campaigns during the time before a presidential election, the clergyman said.

He asked politicians and their fans not to reject his comments only because they may find them difficult to accept or disagree with them.

Ayodele emphasized that his statements were not intended to support any one candidate or political party.

The clergyman stated that the 2027 presidential election would necessitate a number of political computations, forcing hopefuls to be aware of developments in the opposition area, changing alliances, and expectations.

He said that as the election draws near, political players would need to take into account the approaches that different organizations are using.

His statements are made at a time when there are still political operations going on that include Obi and Atiku, both of whom are still important players in conversations about the 2027 presidential race.

Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, has remained involved in opposition political activities in the run-up to the election, as has Atiku, a former vice president.

Ayodele’s remarks emphasized his stated position as a messenger and his opinion that his warnings should be taken into account regardless of the politicians’ agreement with them.

He reiterated that his remarks were based on what he believed he had gotten and that it was his obligation to spread those messages.
