Serena Williams melts hearts with raw motherhood moment with daughters

The 45-year-old athlete shared a series of photos on Instagram on Tuesday, September 29, showing herself sitting in the backseat of a car with her two daughters.

In the photos, Williams held her 3-year-old daughter Adira on her lap, while 9-year-old Olympia rested her head on her mother’s lap. Williams could be seen embracing both girls while resting her eyes.

“Unfiltered. Raw. Just a tired mom with a full heart holding her whole world….. Ready for whatever comes next,” Williams wrote in the caption.

The tennis star has previously offered glimpses of her daughters on social media.Earlier this month, Williams shared photos of Olympia and Adira while they were shopping at Nike. The sisters posed in front of large black-and-white photographs of their mother during her tennis career.

“Olympia and Adira took a little detour while shopping at Nike today… but Mama’s always watching,” Williams jokingly captioned the post.

Williams has also spoken openly about how she balances motherhood with her career. During a live taping of IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson in May, Williams discussed parenting with former first lady Michelle Obama.

“I really try to be a present parent,” Williams said, acknowledging that maintaining that presence can sometimes be difficult because of their busy lifestyles.

Williams explained that she organizes much of her life around her children and tries not to be away from them for long periods. “I’m never gone more than 24 hours, ever,” she said, adding that she did not leave Olympia for 24 hours until her daughter was 6.
