Qatar proposes two-page agreement as US-Iran talks remain deadlocked

Qatar has proposed a two-page agreement to resolve the dispute between the US and Iran, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

According to US media, no progress was made in the negotiations between US and Iran which is raising fears of military action following the midterm elections. 

Iran is demanding an end to the blockade and concessions regarding nuclear issues.

Iran’s Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei remarked during a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan that the US President has become trapped in a quagmire where he can neither negotiate nor wage war. 

He said faced with helplessness in the military conflict; the US resorted to an aerial blockade.

Mohsen Rezaei said Iran is prepared to establish peace in the Caucasus. The US has no future in the region, and Iran stands firmly against it.

Meanwhile, leaders from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates met in Riyadh following months of differences regarding the situation in Yemen. 

The meeting took place between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. 

According to the Saudi state news agency, Saudi Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman was also present. 

Saudi Arabia had previously accused the UAE of posing a threat to Saudi national security by supporting rebels in Yemen.
