Qatar PM accuses Israeli leader of war crimes over Gaza

Qatar’s prime minister has described the Israeli prime minister as a war criminal, saying that what happened in Gaza amounted to war crimes, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, the Qatari prime minister said the events in Gaza fell within the definition of war crimes and that those responsible should be regarded as war criminals.

“Whatever happened in Gaza falls under war crimes. Whoever is responsible for it is a war criminal,” he said.

The Qatari leader also rejected allegations that Qatar had provided financial support for Hamas military operations.

In August, 2026, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey, which are mediating the truce in Gaza, on Monday criticised Israel after renewed strikes in the Palestinian territory reportedly killed over 20 people.

The trio said they strongly condemned what they said were “ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, particularly the targeting of health facilities and infrastructure, and the casualties among civilians, including women and children”.

The situation was “a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law”, they added in a joint statement.
