Move aside, Wayne! Coleen Rooney’s earnings soar to £2.4 million a year as family’s ‘main breadwinner’ thanks to her booming TV and fashion career

Coleen Rooney had a bumper financial year in 2025, with new figures showing her earnings soared to £2.4million.

Figures filed on Wednesday cover the period when Coleen became the breadwinner of the family, starring on I’m A Celebrity and creating her fashion range for Primark whilst Wayne was sacked from his manager role at Plymouth Argyle.

The figures for the company set up to handle Coleen’s earnings, CWR 2021, reveal her finances for the 12 months up to September 2025 and show funds of £2,437,718.

That figure is a huge jump up from £580,779 in 2024.

Coleen, 40, finished runner-up during the 2024 series of I’m a Celeb, for which she was paid a reported £1.5million, becoming the highest paid star in the history of the show.

She later admitted that experiencing the ‘love and support off the public’ whilst competing on the ITV series convinced her to sign up for the family’s newly released reality show.

Disney+ and Amazon had a bidding war for months to have the rights for the show, with Disney+ winning the race with the massive £10million fee.

The Real Rooneys was filmed last year and follows the family’s change of dynamics as Coleen heads back to work.

Coleen is seen in the first episode struggling to decide if she should sign the multi-million-pound contract with Primark, and take the leap from home life with her four sons back into work.

With Wayne having just been sacked he explains: ‘I think Coleen going back to work is good for her, rather than just being here and looking after the kids and me as well.

‘And that’s coincided with me not having a 9-5 job so I’m here with the kids.’

Wayne, who later took on a role on the Match of the Day commentary team, is filmed struggling to adapt to a life outside of football.

The ex-England star explains on the show that the couple have never considered taking on outside help: ‘People ask why don’t we have a nanny. “You can afford to have a nanny help you,” but they’re OUR kids.

‘It’s tough for anyone who has four kids but you want to bring them up. You want to be around them. It’s tough but enjoyable.’

Coleen meanwhile is also seen confessing that she is still coming to terms with being a working mum.

Confiding in best friend Danielle Gibson, Coleen shared on the show: ‘I want a nice balanced life. I do feel a bit sad at the minute. Just because I don’t think things are… just a bit snappy, irritated.’

Breaking down in tears, she continues: ‘It’s just a bit hard juggling everything and the house is not happy.

‘I try and do it but it’s – there’s small problems that we need to fix and I’ve got no time to stop and fix it and that’s a bit worrying.

‘I prep and I try to do everything the best I can but I still find it really difficult leaving my kids. The hardest thing is picking the pieces up when you get back.

‘Over the past few weeks I’m questioning myself, what do I need to do?

‘I need to calm down but that’s because I’m quite highly strung. I feel I have a lot, I need to do a lot, but maybe I don’t have to do it all.’
