[PHOTOS] Ruto issues 36,826 title deeds to Kilifi residents

President William Ruto on Tuesday presided over the distribution of 36,826 title deeds to residents in Kilifi county during his development tour of the Coast region.

The landmark exercise targets beneficiaries across Kaloleni, Rabai, Ganze, Kilifi South, and Malindi constituencies, forming part of a broader national initiative to distribute 500,000 land ownership documents across the coastal belt.

Speaking at the event, President Ruto emphasised that legal land ownership provides tenure security, restores dignity and unlocks economic opportunities by allowing landowners to utilise their property as collateral for commercial investments and agricultural development.

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, Lands Principal Secretary Nixon Korir and other national and local leaders attended the gathering.

They commended the government’s decisive steps in ending historical squatter grievances.
