Nicole Scherzinger displayed her injuries as she left her hotel in Manchester on Tuesday, just days after being scalded by boiling water in a shock accident.

The 48-year-old singer’s leg was left burned and covered in blisters after water spilt on her just an hour before she was due on stage with her fellow Pussycat Dolls in Düsseldorf on Saturday.

And in her first public appearance since the accident, Nicole put on a brave face as she headed out alongside Ashley Roberts, 45, and Kimberly Wyatt, 44, ahead of their next concert at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena.

The star opted for a pair of loose-fitting shorts, so as not to rub against her burns, with Nicole teaming this with a simple black vest and black trainers.

Keeping her look low-key with the addition of a black baseball cap and shades, Nicole offered a small smile and a wave to onlookers as she made her way outside.

Ashley meanwhile flashed her legs in a pair of black cycle shorts, adding black knee-high boots, a black zip-up sweater and sunglasses to her look.

Kimberly opted for a casual sage green velour tracksuit for the journey, finishing off her ensemble with navy trainers and shades.

All three looked in good spirits as they prepared to kick off the UK leg of their PCD Forever tour.

On Sunday, Nicole posted a picture of her burns and blisters just a day after the incident took place.

Nicole was determined to not let her injury ruin the tour as she insisted ‘the show must go on.’

In the event of a burn, the NHS recommend immediately cooling the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes and removing any tight clothing or jewellery near the area before swelling starts.

‘Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set – but the show must go on,’ she wrote.

‘Thanks Düsseldorf for keeping me going. See you soon Amsterdam.’

The Pussycat Dolls announced their comeback in March along with their first single in six years, Club Song – produced and co-written by Mike Sabath.

However, last month they were forced to axe the entire US leg of their comeback tour due to dismal ticket sales.

Ashley, Nicole and Kimberly had originally announced they would be reuniting as a trio for a massive 53-date run across the UK, Europe and North America.

But in a humiliating blow, the band have now been forced to scrap the 33 dates they had planned in their native US as well as Canada after poor sales left arenas 80 per cent empty.

Even after slashing the price of seats to just $30, organisers had no choice but to pull the plug only a month before they were set to have their first show in Palm Desert, California on June 5.

Sharing a statement to Instagram, the band wrote: ‘When we announced the PCD FOREVER Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world.

‘After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates.

‘Our UK and European dates are still moving forward as planned, and the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out,’ they continued.

‘We are putting everything into making this show a true celebration of the music and the memories, for the fans who have been with us from the beginning and those discovering us for the first time.

‘We’re working hard to create the kind of show we’ve always dreamed of bringing to you. We cannot wait to bring this reunion to Europe and make these nights unforgettable.’

The trio kicked off their tour in Copenhagen in September followed by shows in Paris, Warsaw and the UK.

Those who bought tickets from Ticketmaster or AXS were informed they would receive a full refund automatically, while those who bought theirs from third-party resellers have been advised to contact their point of purchase.

The Pussycat Dolls’ comeback has been marred in controversy since it was first announced due to the exclusion of three of the group’s founding members, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton.

Carmit and Jessica have since revealed they were both blindsided by the reunion and were never even asked to take part, with the latter going as far as to call it a ‘cash grab’.

Burns are damage to the skin caused by dry heat, such as an iron or a fire.

This is different to scalds, which occur due to wet heat like hot water or steam.

But the amount of pain a person feels is not always related to how serious the burn is.

Even a very serious burn can be painless.

Burns that require immediate A&E treatment are:

Pregnant women, children under five, the elderly, those with a weak immune system and people suffering from a medical condition, like diabetes, should also go to hospital.

Treatment depends on what layers of the skin are affected.

In severe cases, a skin graft may be required.
