0 Siya Kolisi has sent a flirty message to Rachel John. Images via IG Siya Kolisi has renewed speculation that he is head over heels in love with his rumoured girlfriend, Rachel John. The Springboks captain has been reportedly dating the bubbly brunette since last year.

The rugby hero split from his ex-wife, Rachel Kolisi, in 2024.

While Siya Kolisi and Rachel John have attempted to keep their relationship low-profile in recent months, the Springboks captain couldnt help but leave a flirty comment under his partner’s Instagram post.

Rachel – who is 10 years younger than the rugby star – posted pictures of herself showing off her naturally curly hair as she lay in bed.

“Oh molo sisi [hello sister]”, Siya replied in the comment section. The 35-year-old added a loved-up emoji, seemingly reflecting his state of mind.

The cheeky comment fuelled speculation that Siya and Rachel’s romance is still going strong.

Meanwhile, Siya Kolisi’s ex-wife, Rachel Kolisi, has sent a stern message to those who’ve questioned her decision to keep her last name in a TikTok video.

Some have even speculated that the clip is a dig at her ex’s new girlfriend, who shares her name.

In the TikTok, Rachel is seen arriving in the Eastern Cape – where Rachel John has a surf camp in Jeffrey’s Bay – to the soundtrack of Chamillionaire’s Ridin, which includes the lyrics; “They see me rollin, they hatin’”.

Rachel cheekily captioned the clip: “First name. Last Name. Same Same”.

The mother-of-two has spoken about keeping the “Kolisi” name.

Speaking at a recent event for her book Falling Forward, Rachel responded to a question about why she chose to keep her marital surname, despite her divorce.

She mentioned a time when she was approached by a woman in a supermarket, who referred to her as “Siya Kolis’s wife”.

She said of the encounter: “‘I was like ‘Nope’. Then I stopped and said ‘My name is Rachel, it’s nice to meet you’”.

Rachel reflected on why she did not revert to her maiden name, which is Smith.

She continued: “What is really important for me is to create stability for my children in two years, after they have moved five times, three times in schools and twice overseas. It was the most unstable, insane years of their lives, plus their parents got divorced on top of that.

“Stability not just for my children, but for myself and for the people around me. Was a surname change desperately needed at the time? No. Will I do it eventually? I don’t know. Why is the public so intrigued about this? I have no idea. But for now, I’m Rachel Kolisi, and I’m very proud to be Rachel Kolisi”.
