Gogglebox star Amy Tapper reveals she has lost 8.5st as she shares incredible video of her transformation

Amy Tapper has revealed she has now lost eight and a half stone as she showcased her incredible body transformation in a new Instagram video shared on Monday.

The Gogglebox star, 26, has transformed her figure and has dropped at least five dress sizes through a combination of the weight loss jab Mounjaro and regular exercise.

And Amy was keen to document her changing figure and impressive weight loss as she shared a clip featuring before and after snaps of her figure.

Set to Jay Z ‘s Public Service Announcement (interlude), the video starts off with Amy when she was much larger, as she tells her followers: ‘Allow me to reintroduce myself’.

She then adds: ‘My name is Amy’ as the video then switches to the star looking significantly slimmer, with one frame showing her model one of her old skirts to show just how far she had come in her journey.

The video then shows the TV personality looking happy and confident amid her fitness journey, with the clips showing her exercising, eating healthily and trying on new clothes.

The caption continues: ‘8 1/2 stone down. Full of energy. Exercise isn’t a chore. A new lease of life. Confidence. Proud of how far I’ve come. Feeling good.’

Amy’s post was met with a plethora of positive comments from her followers as they remarked how good she was looking.

Amy recently revealed plans to undergo skin surgery in order to be able to wear a bikini for the first time since she was a child.

After dropping from a size 26 to 18 having been ‘overweight for as long as I remember’, Amy has told how she’s now looking forward to showing off her slimmed-down frame in a two-piece once she gets her excess skin removed.

Speaking in a new interview with Closer magazine, Amy revealed that she’ll drop a further stone before talking to a specialist about going under the knife, predicting she probably needs ‘two surgeries’ to remove the skin from her arms and stomach following her weight loss – claiming that ‘no exercise’ will get rid of it.

Amy explained: ‘It’s massive surgery and it will be a long recovery. But I think it will be emotional and overwhelming for me.

‘It’ll be the first time I’m able to wear a bikini since I was nine years old!’

Having transformed her physique over the past two years, Amy is now relishing the choice of clothing she’ll have while shopping, with the beauty admitting she used to ‘hate’ shopping with pals as she was restricted to the plus size section.

Meanwhile, though bikinis and fashion choices are a huge plus with Amy’s epic weight loss, her biggest motivation is preparing her body for a future baby.

She shared: ‘I’m four years away from 30 now and things only get harder as you get older. I want to be able to carry a baby one day and not worry about having a dangerous pregnancy. It will help future-proof myself. I know that as I get older, I’m going to thank myself for this.’

The TV star also admitted that she’ll probably be on weight loss injections ‘for life’ due to her genetics.

In recent weeks, Amy has continued to wow fans with her new look after shedding the pounds.

While Amy – who shot to fame when she was just 13 – has been accused by trolls of ‘cheating’ with her weight loss because she uses the jab, she insists she has maintained a consistent workout routine.

It has also helped her try and tone some of the loose skin on her body.

Amy told the Daily Mail: ‘I’ve been with the same personal trainer for five years. I love going to the gym anyway, just mentally, it makes the biggest difference to my week, and hand-in-hand with Mounjaro.’

Amy has been taking a 15mg weekly dose since February, which she worked her way up to from 2.5mg.

At the peak of her weight loss, Amy shed 5lb within just one week of taking the drug and six months later, she had lost 4st.
