EXPOSED: How OCS Tricked A Girl’s Parents Before Allegedly Raping Her At Their Kakamega Home

Details have emerged on how an OCS tricked the parents of a 16-year-old girl before allegedly defiling her at their home in Kakamega.

The Lumakanda Officer Commanding Station is facing investigations after he was accused of defiling the Grade Eight student at Kambi Moto in Lugari Constituency.

According to a police report, the officer contacted the girl’s mother, Linet Minayo, at about 11pm on Saturday and allegedly warned her that a multi-agency team was preparing to conduct a night operation in the area.

He reportedly told Minayo and her husband, Sammy Wanjala, to spend the night away from their home.

The officer allegedly offered to transport them to White House Bar in Musembe, where they would wait until the operation ended.

He allegedly drove them to Musembe and said he would take them home at around 5am.

However, Minayo reportedly became uneasy and persuaded her husband to return home. They hired a motorcycle and later noticed the officer’s private vehicle parked near a shop.

Upon reaching their residence, they found the door locked.

They called their daughter, who opened the door, before the parents allegedly discovered the OCS inside the house.

The police report states that the officer was allegedly wearing unbuttoned shorts and carrying his shoes.

The parents also reportedly noticed two condoms on a table, one of which was allegedly used.

When confronted, the officer allegedly drew his firearm and threatened the couple.

He is also accused of offering them Sh20,000 in exchange for their silence.

The mother later reportedly surrendered the money to DCI detectives.

The girl was allegedly found behind the house lying on old iron sheets.

She was taken to Lumakanda Sub County Hospital for medical examination and treatment.

Kakamega County Police Commander Tom Achiya confirmed the officer’s arrest and said investigations were ongoing to establish the facts surrounding the allegations.

The girl’s parents have appealed for justice and protection for their daughter. Residents have also called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to intervene.

DCI detectives and officers from the Independent Policing Oversight Authority are involved in the investigations.
