Diddy receives earliest release date yet as his time behind bars is reduced AGAIN amid years-long prison sentence

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is now closer than ever to his release from prison.

The disgraced music mogul initially was supposed to remain behind bars until May 8, 2028, but now his release date has been moved closer than ever before.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Diddy – real name Sean Combs – is now scheduled to be released from prison on January 21, 2028.

Juda Engelmayer, a spokesperson for Diddy, told The Daily Mail: ‘We never know how or why the BOP calculates and posts these dates.’

Diddy was sentenced to four years and two months in prison last year on two prostitution charges following a widely-publicized trial.

Since then, his release date has moved a number of times since he started serving his 50-month sentence. Most recently, it was moved to February 5.

Last year, a jury found Diddy guilty of two counts of transporting prostitutes across state lines for the purpose of sex at his federal trial. He was acquitted by the jury on the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

During Combs’s trial, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura delivered graphic testimony, alleging that the music mogul abused her over more than a decade.

Diddy was originally set to be released in May 2028 before the date moved around multiple times.

His initial release was pushed back to June 4, 2028 following allegations denied by his attorney that Combs drank moonshine and made an unauthorized three-way phone call.

He was granted a reprieve last October when the date was moved to April 25, 2028, owing to the FIRST STEP Act, a prison reform law from Donald Trump’s first presidency that was famously championed by Kim Kardashian and has resulted in the early release of tens of thousands of criminals.

The date underwent several more adjustments until it reached January 21 – which marks the soonest Diddy could be released.

Diddy has reportedly caused some trouble since getting behind bars.

In addition to the moonshine allegation, TMZ reported he got into a fight with another inmate earlier this year.

Addressing the moonshine allegation, a statement on the Bad Boy Entertainment founder’s X account read: ‘The rumors claiming Mr Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false.’

‘His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family.’

A spokesman for the I’ll Be Missing You artist also insisted to the Daily Mail that he ‘has not violated any prison rules,’ and is instead focused on keeping clean while serving his sentence.

‘His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities,’ the spokesperson said, ‘and he is taking them seriously.’

Combs’s representative also noted that ‘this is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumors will surface throughout his time there.’

‘We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace.’

Just a few days later, however, Combs reportedly got into trouble for making a three-way call in violation of prison rules.

But Combs said he was simply speaking with his lawyer, who added that the head of legal communications was working on a statement for his approval to be sent to The New York Times.

Following his time in prison, the judge sentenced Combs to another five years of supervised release.

Judge Arun Subramanian said a lengthy sentence was needed for deterrence and that he was unconvinced that if Combs is released, these crimes won’t happen again.

The judge condemned Combs for his ‘savage’ abuse of Ventura and said he was making an example of him because he caused ‘irreparable harm’ to his victims.
