2027: “What God Reveals To Me Northerners Will Do If Tinubu Is Announced winner – Primate Ayodele

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that some Northerners who are opposed to President Bola Tinubu could strongly resist the outcome of the 2027 presidential election if they believe the results do not reflect their political preferences.

Ayodele made the statement while discussing Nigeria’s political situation and the possible reactions that could follow the announcement of the presidential election results. According to the cleric, some people in Northern Nigeria remain dissatisfied with Tinubu and may reject an electoral outcome they believe goes against their preferred candidate.

He suggested that tensions could become more visible if the results show Tinubu securing only a limited number of states in the Northern region.

“Northerners who don’t want Tinubu will go all out to resist Tinubu. They do not want Tinubu to win. If they allow them announce Tinubu winning one state, two states, you will see that there will be protests,” Ayodele said.

The warning comes as political parties and presidential aspirants continue to intensify preparations for the 2027 general election. The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is expected to defend its position, while opposition parties and political groups are working to build structures and alliances capable of challenging the incumbent.

Although Ayodele highlighted opposition to Tinubu in parts of the North, the region is not politically united against the president. Several Northern political figures, groups and supporters have publicly expressed backing for Tinubu and his administration, including support for his bid to remain in office for another term.

At the same time, opposition politicians have continued to mobilise support for alternative candidates and political platforms as preparations for the election progress.
