Kimeumana: Mt Kenya Leaders Threatens To Expose Chilling Truth Behind Uhuru Plot Against Raila

Former Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has threatened to reveal details of what he describes as an alleged plot by former President Uhuru Kenyatta to undermine Raila Odinga during the 2022 presidential election.

In an interview with the Standard on September 2, Wambugu claimed Uhuru was allegedly working behind the scenes to frustrate Raila’s presidential bid and ultimately create an advantage for William Ruto, who was competing against the Azimio candidate.

Wambugu further alleged that the former president’s strategy involved manipulating the electoral process, influencing sections of the media and intimidating some politicians who supported Raila.

He said he was prepared to bring together former Mount Kenya leaders who campaigned for Raila to push for accountability and disclose what he described as evidence of the alleged scheme.

Wambugu also maintained that Raila had been denied what he believed was a legitimate electoral victory and urged the former opposition leader to pursue legal avenues to challenge the outcome.

His claims add another layer to the long-running political debate surrounding the 2022 election and the roles played by Uhuru, Raila and Ruto before and after the polls.

Wambugu has previously been identified as one of the Mount Kenya politicians who supported Raila's 2022 presidential campaign.
