Revealed: 640,442 Kenyans Secure Jobs in Housing As Government Strengthens Competency-Based Training | Dawan Africa

The PS noted that training has been aligned with industry needs, particularly in agriculture, engineering and ICT, and supported by industrial attachments and recognition of prior learning.

PS Ibrahim also reiterated that the Government remains committed to creating decent, productive and inclusive jobs as foundations for broad-based economic growth and improved livelihoods. He added that it is imperative to nurture partnerships between the Government and Private Sector with the aim of establishing incubators and seed capital to support entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth.

Present at the High-Level Dialogue was the Vice President, East and Southern Africa, World Bank Group, Mr Ndiame Diop, the Chief Executive Officer, the Kenya Private Sector Alliance, Ms. Carole Kariuki, Director, Outcomes Department, World Bank Group, Mr. Lisandro Martin, Director, African Development Bank Group, Mr Armand Nzeyimana and Director, Islamic Development Bank, Mr Syed Husain Quadri.

The event was co-hosted by the World Bank Group, African Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank.
