Ruto’s Daughter Steals the Show in Tanzania as Glamorous Wedding Attracts Top Kenyan Leaders
President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, has officially tied the knot with Tanzanian businessman Isaya Yunge in a colourful wedding ceremony held in Mwanza, Tanzania, on Friday, November 6, 2026.
The event attracted attention from both Kenya and Tanzania, bringing together prominent political leaders, government officials, family members and close friends to celebrate the couple’s special day.
The white wedding took place at Malaika Beach Hotel, where Charlene and her husband exchanged vows in a ceremony presided over by the Africa Inland Church in Tanzania.
President Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto were among the guests who attracted attention with their elegant outfits.
The Head of State wore a deep burgundy jacket, a cream shirt and a black bow tie, while Rachel chose a long white dress decorated with burgundy and brown floral patterns.
One of the most memorable moments was captured when Ruto and his wife walked alongside their daughter as she made her way towards the altar.
Charlene looked stunning in a detailed white wedding gown featuring floral decorations and a long veil.
Her husband, Isaya, complemented her appearance in a cream-white suit, a white shirt and a black patterned tie.
The photographs also captured emotional family moments involving the President and his children.
The celebration brought together several members of the First Family, including Charlene’s siblings Nick, George, June and Nadia.
Her sisters were also spotted among the bridesmaids, wearing beautiful red gowns.
Among the Kenyan leaders who attended were National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen and Health CS Aden Duale.
Other notable guests included Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga.
The wedding followed the couple’s traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, known as Koito, which was held in August 2026 at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
Charlene also shared official portraits in a second white outfit, complete with gold earrings, a diamond ring and a long lace-trimmed veil.
The Mwanza celebration marked another important chapter in the couple’s relationship, with family and friends joining them to witness their union.
