Ghanaian music stars Shatta Wale and Medikal have paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Sammy Gyamfi, at his office.

The visit, according to Shatta Wale, was aimed at exploring opportunities for collaboration and strengthening partnerships that promote Ghanaian creativity.

Shatta Wale was accompanied by members of his team as they met with the GoldBod CEO ahead of his upcoming ShattaFest UK concert scheduled for August 1.

Welcoming the artistes, Sammy Gyamfi said his outfit had anticipated the visit and prepared to receive what he described as two of Ghana’s leading music talents.

He expressed admiration for Shatta Wale’s career and his efforts in advocating for creatives to build sustainable careers within the entertainment industry.

“I have taken interest in your careers, especially your advocacy for creatives pursuing something meaningful,” Sammy Gyamfi said.

He added that GoldBod was ready to support and collaborate with Shatta Wale for the upcoming event, describing the concert as an opportunity to showcase Ghanaian talent on a global stage.

“With regards to ShattaFest, count us in. We will be part of it. We know it is going to be big because you have set a precedent that anything involving you will be big,” he stated.

Sammy Gyamfi referenced Shatta Wale’s previous successful concerts and birthday celebrations, noting that the artiste has consistently created platforms that bring attention to Ghana’s entertainment industry.

For Shatta Wale, the collaboration aligns with his broader vision of using entertainment to promote Ghana and create opportunities for creatives.

The meeting comes as preparations continue towards ShattaFest UK, an event expected to bring together Ghanaian music lovers and celebrate the country’s growing influence in global entertainment.
