Black Stars: Kurt Okraku confident in Otto Addo’s Vision ahead of 2026 World Cup – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has expressed full confidence in Otto Addo’s leadership, crediting the Black Stars head coach with building a new mentality that will serve the team well at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking ahead of Ghana’s friendlies against Austria and Germany, Okraku highlighted the unseen but crucial work that has gone into transforming the team’s mindset.

“The intangible assets that have been put together by coach Otto Addo and his team will make Ghana proud.”

Okraku’s remarks reflect a belief that Ghana no longer approaches matches against football’s traditional powerhouses with fear. The Black Stars face Germany on March 30 in Stuttgart, a crucial test three days after their friendly against Austria.

“A few years ago, if you heard a fixture like Ghana versus Germany, you would be afraid. But today, we are very confident.”

Addo has guided Ghana through an impressive World Cup qualifying campaign and has prioritised mental resilience alongside tactical discipline. The team has been drawn in Group L for the World Cup alongside England, Croatia, and Panama and will open their campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto.

For Okraku, the foundations laid by Addo extend beyond tactics and formations. The “intangible assets”—confidence, unity, and belief—are what he believes will ultimately define Ghana’s performance on football’s biggest stage.
