“We never met, Mr President…is it true?’ asked the CEO of Edeka.
‘That is true, Sir,” answered the President of Ghana. “Your predecessor and my predecessor both now of blessed memories, were once dealing with each other. It was from what I heard a very productive relationship with trust on both sides in the success of our common goal..The bond between you and us as a nation is strong as ever.’
“Mr President, that is very good to hear and kind of you,” mentioned the Edeka CEO with a smile on his face. “By the way…I have taken notice of the fact that you people in Ghana now produce your sacks to transport cocoa beans and coffee beans completely in Ghana and stopped the import from India and Bangladesh.”
“Which is true, Sir,” smiled the President looking out of the windows of Edeka Headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, City North. “God has sent us an angel in the form of one of your people. Now we export our sacks to neighboring countries and are in fierce competition with our former suppliers. We use a better raw material which we grow in Ghana at a large scale. It helps us to clean our environment and keep our air fresh and clean. German technology is helping us a great deal. Meanwhile we have become great experts in this field ourselves and advice other African countries on this technology.”
“That is good to hear, Mr President,” applauded the Edeka CEO. “Ghana has come a long way. In the end…everything worked out well for your nation.”
“The normal, I mean, a balanced relationship not overburdened with ideology but guided by pragmatism made our success story possible,” gave the President thanks to the heavens above in which Christ had found a comfortable resting place to watch over his people. Turning to the Board Members from Edeka the President added:” We are all in one boat to fish the fish like on Lake Galilee when Jesus Christ walked the earth.”
“Wisdom of the highest Order!” said the new CFO of Edeka. “Very true…very well said!”
“After all, we are one people of the same maker,” added the President, folding his hands for a short, quiet inner prayer.”
“Business is business,” reminded the CEO of Edeka the people gathered. “The turnover of your chocolate products during recent years has increased a hundred fold for Ghana to compete seriously with the old big boys in the market. We recognise that during your rise to fame and excellence you had to overcome difficulties and serious opposition. But you stood your ground and were not shaken nor scared. Despite the changes of governments and political parties you in Ghana successfully moved on in the same direction.”
“Only that made us successful as a country,” stressed the President out. “Before we were not really smart.”
“The world knows,” commented the CFO. “The world really knows.”
“What matters is…you eventually made it. That’s what is important. The way is needed to reach the set destiny!” made the COO clear. “And you made it big…very big. Country number One on the African continent surpassing South Africa, Nigeria and Egypt.”
“God knows what he is doing,” praised the President with a big smile on his face. “We need not to say or think more.”
