The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Asiedu Nketiah, has urged Ghanaians to remain optimistic about the country’s future, noting that the nation’s best days are yet to come.
In a message shared on Facebook on Friday, March 6, 2026, marking Ghana’s 69th Independence Day, Asiedu Nketiah encouraged citizens to focus on building prosperity and restoring hope for all Ghanaians.
“As we celebrate the 69th Independence Day today, with the theme Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope, let’s remember that our best days are still ahead. They are being shaped, step by step, right now. Happy Independence Day to every Ghanaian, at home and in the Diaspora,” he said.
The NDC chairman emphasised that the anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the resilience of the Ghanaian people and their role in shaping the nation’s progress.
He called on citizens to continue working collectively toward development, stability, and unity, ensuring that the gains of independence translate into tangible improvements in the lives of all Ghanaians.
