“Mr President…how nice to meet you here again. It has been a long time since we last met,” said the CEO of Edeka. “You look refreshed in difficult times…though.”
“It is nice of you to welcome me back, Sir,” responded the President.
“Today we have gathered here to look back of two years of cooperation..What had happened, what went wrong and where we must do better,” contributed the CFO to the discussion. “A warm welcome from my side as well.”
Ghana’s President said:” After a bumpy ride things have massively and seriously improved. You will recall I had serious opposition in Ghana against me for which reason I had to appoint as CEO of Cocobod a TV presenter hoping and praying things would go well. And for party reasons I also had to appoint one of us. But it turned out neither of them were capable enough to succeed and be a blessing to mother Ghana.”
The CEO intervened and recalled:”You told me about your headache in the past already, Mr President.”
“Sure…I did,” laughed the President, very obvious being released from the stress of months and years.”When the pressure of our people mounted and we needed to have clear signs of winning the coming elections in a few months time…you know I cannot stand anymore for a possible third term I convinced my party friend our new flagbearer to bring on board people with qualification and vision not party membership even not necessarily holding an Ghanaian passport. Once and for all we are determined to solve our basic problems just like we have witnessed it in the much advanced Arab states. We jumped over our shadows of the past and moved on. We decided for a foreign visionary and very wise man who actually married one of our daughters from Kumasi, half Ewe and half Ashanti.”
“Oh, how nice!” smiled the CEO.
“It is,” smiled the President back. “He is also the initiator of our annual Chocolate Parade which by now attracts thousands of tourists from around the world. Flight tickets are sold out well in advance even the Airlines operate with bigger planes and more often. Still people can not attend the spectacle from within our continent or from around the world.”
“Yes, I heard of your challenges in this regard. Not easy at all having to disappoint valuable guests,” paid the CFO his respects.
“Therefore we are so lucky to have our Chocolate City and Chocolate Trail. We can offer these sad people still our Dream come true and even think of another form of our famous World Chocolate Championships which normally takes center stage during our Chocolate Parade season. We are not quite there yet but our creative team tirelessly works on a solution,” said the President, smiling again finishing his coffee. “From Ghana?”
“You bet!” smiled the CEO as much as he could.” For you…only the best!”
“We as a nation are blessed to have this white man and as it turned out after all we are a wise nation…that makes me happy and my heart is at ease. You know sometimes God delays our blessings but in the end…,” the President paused for a moment to let the situation sink in and continued,”we get what we truly deserve. In the end in our days we even have people who are Millionaires with cocoa beans and chocolate products. Like in the olden days when natural rubber made several people in Brazil rich and famous. Their Lost Places, their most impressive Villas and theatres true masterpieces, are rotten away these days in the Amazon Rain Forest. Now our generation has come to flourish and to stay and take over. That is for certain.”
“I can see Mr President you are all energized. I love to see and witness it. I just love it,” said the CEO of Edeka, full of admiration. “Please, Mr President, I think your story has just begun.”
