Celebrity Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has trademarked the brand name “Ratel” and issued a cease-and-desist letter to social media critic, Verydarkman.
In a post on Instagram, Blord warned Verydarkman to stop using the name without authorisation.
Naija News reports that ‘Ratel’ is the name the social critic uses to identify his fanbase.
However, Blord said VeryDarkMan would no longer be allowed to use the name without his consent, as he had now trademarked “Ratel” as his business brand name.
He stated that he had directed his lawyer to issue a cease-and-desist order to Verydarkman.
“I have directed my SAN to issue a cease and desist to VDM to stop using my brand name ‘Ratel’. He will have to get approval from me henceforth before using that name Ratel,” he wrote.
The move comes amid an ongoing feud between the two public figures on social media.
The dispute began in October 2025 after VeryDarkMan visited China to assist some Nigerian business owners in sourcing cheaper goods and supplier contacts. During the trip, VeryDarkMan accused Blord of alleged business fraud and overpricing of modified gadgets.
The feud later escalated when VeryDarkMan was said to have petitioned the Police to investigate Blord’s business practices.
