Watch highlights of Kotoko’s 4-2 victory over Karela United

Asante Kotoko returned to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League after an emphatic victory over Karela United at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, November 2, 2025

The Porcupine Warriors, still recovering from their CAF Confederation Cup humiliation against Wydad Casablanca defeated Karela 4-2 at home.

Midfielder Hubert Gyau set the tone early, blasting home the opener in the 6th minute before Bless Ege levelled for Karela.

Gyau struck again with a thunderous effort from distance to restore Kotoko’s advantage, and Seth Kwadwo extended the lead with a powerful header just before halftime.

In the second half, Peter Amidu Acquah added a fourth from close range to seal the victory.

Karela pulled one back in the 72nd minute, but Kotoko’s dominance was never in doubt as they controlled the game but couldn’t add more goals.

The result keeps Kotoko unbeaten this season with 11 points from five games and three matches in hand.

They now turn their focus to a high-stakes clash against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium next weekend.
