RIP: Veteran Journalist Catherine Kasavuli Dies

Catherine Kasavuli, a veteran journalist and prime time news anchor in Kenya, has passed away after a battle with cancer, according to Kenya Broadcasting Corporation Managing Director Samuel Maina.

Kasavuli was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital in October with cervical cancer, a disease that affects the neck of the womb and is the fourth most frequently diagnosed cancer and the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women worldwide.
