Speaker to the Senate honourable Amason Jefa Kingi has finally gazeted Friday, December 30, 2022 for the swearing in of honourable David Wakoli Wafula the Bungoma senate elect who was elected on December 8th to take over from the former seantor Moses Wetangula who was elected speaker of the National Assembly.
The Speaker has also gazeted the same day to consider the report on removal of Meru county governor Kawira Mwangaza who was impeached by Meru county Assemblies. The Senate committee chaired by Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale for consideration by the Senate before voting could be done on Friday.
The Senate house is expected to perform these two major functions before closing business of the year for the next year where they are expected to turn up in the second week after the new year celebrations. The senators are expected to take final decision on governor Mwangaza case against the county MCAs.
