Spaniard shot stopper and former Athletic Bilbao star, Kepa Arrizabalaga has been at the top notch for the Blues since breaking his way into the team following a slight injury sustained by Edouard Mendy.
He then stepped up into the squad and as such sealed the starting XI spot by establishing himself as the preferred number one choice under new English tactician Graham Potter, as Edouard Mendy has not been able to make his return into the regular starting line-up.
The 28 year old prolific shot stopper showed another master class performance with some iconic saves yesterday in what was Chelsea’s 15th league game of the season at home against AFC Bournemouth at the Stamford Bridge.
He made not less than four saves in the thrilling encounter that ended two nil at full time with the whole maximum three points of the night accrued helping them to close the wide gap in their pursuit for the top four race.
First half goals scored by Kai Havertz and Mason Mount made the difference between the two sides at full time which ended the game two goals to nil.
Kepa Arrizabalaga with his impressive and incredible displays in the game has the best save percentage in the English Premier League this season (2+ appearances):
– 7 games
– 83.9% save percentage
– 26 saves made
– 5 goals conceded

He will then be hoping to keep the standard going for his team in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
