The Operatives of Nigerian Police Intelligent Response Team have reportedly arrested a murder suspect identified as Edeh Tochuckwu for allegedly killing his girlfriend.
According to Channels Television, the suspect murdered the deceased girlfriend whom he met in 2020 through Facebook.
The suspect during interrogations admitted that he moved in with the deceased at the peak of their relationship. He stated that it was later that the relationship became abusive and he was the victim.
On how he murdered the girlfriend, Edeh said he was not aware that she died as a result of the pestle he used in hitting her.
He also confessed that he drove her car to Port Court where he sold it.
Hear him “Each time she call me on the phone, she was always angry and I couldn’t express myself. She usually insults me. On October 24th when I came around, we had an argument over a car. She went to the sitting room and used home theater on me but I defended. When she came for the second time I was really angry, I hit her with a pestle and she fell down and started crying that why did I hit her. I later ran away with the car and her phone to Port Harcourt where I sold the car. I was not aware she was dead”
