As the general 2023 Presidential election set to kick-off in the next few days in Nigeria and the commencement of the Presidential campaign, many Nigerians, top politicians have been sharing their views regarding the Presidential candidates and their chances in 2023.
Based on these notes, renowned legal practitioner and public affairs analyst, Benson Enikuomehin while speaking during an exclusive interview with the New Central TV’s Politics HQ, noted that though he admires the former governor of Anambra State and Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Gregory Obi’s journey so far in the Presidential race, it is, however, Important for him (Peter Obi) to have it in mind that power is not served on a platter for anybody, but rather, there must be a struggle before anyone could get power, adding that having such a mentality will help the one time governor of Anambra State and flag-bearer of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Gregory Obi to run for office in the future if he does not emerge victorious on the ballots in 2023 Presidential election.
According to the renowned lawyer, Benson Enikuomehin, he said, “I must give kudos to the gentleman, Peter Obi, for coming up at this time and sounding the trumpet so loud that everyone would hear. I wish him well. If he wins, I’ll give him kudos, if not, he should continue the struggle. Because, again, no meal will be served to you on a buffet, it’s not a la carte, and you must struggle for it. Sometimes, when you make an effort for the first time, and you don’t succeed, you must keep going. The beauty of a man is that when you fail, it tells you that there is room to succeed. I think he will put up an effort”.
