Real Madrid are reportedly looking to sign Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne this winter. The Belgian international has been one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League over the past few seasons and has established himself as one of the best players in the world. If Real Madrid were to sign him, it would be a huge coup and could be the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

So how could Real Madrid line up with Kevin de Bruyne?
In goal, Thibaut Courtois would be the obvious choice. The Belgian international has been one of the best goalkeepers in Europe over the past few seasons, and he would be a safe bet to help lead Real Madrid to future success.
At the back, Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao would be the first-choice centre-back pairing. Both players are experienced and have a wealth of Champions League and La Liga experience.
At left back, David Alaba would be the ideal choice. The Austrian is an attacking full-back who loves to get forward and has great delivery from wide areas.
On the opposite flank, Dani Carvajal would be the perfect fit. The Spaniard is known for his defensive solidity but is also capable of pushing forward and providing an attacking threat.
In midfield, Aurelien Tchouameni would be the anchor man. The French is the rock in midfield and provides protection to the defence.
Alongside him, de Bruyne would be the perfect partner. The Belgian has the ability to create chances and score goals and would be the ideal foil for Tchouameni.
In the attacking midfield role, Toni Kroos would be the ideal choice. The German is an underrated player who is capable of creating chances and scoring goals.
On either wing, Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio would be the perfect selections. Both players have the pace and skill to unlock defences and create chances.
And up front, Karim Benzema would be the obvious choice. The French striker has been the mainstay of Real Madrid’s attack over the past few years and is a proven goalscorer.
So that’s how Real Madrid could line up with Kevin de Bruyne if he signs. It would be a formidable side and could be the perfect blend of attacking flair and defensive solidity.
