Lionel Messi is still in delirium after finally winning the most coveted prize in World football, the FIFA World Cup. Argentina claimed its third World Cup title with victory in the penalty shootout against France on Sunday, capping an extraordinary final that saw them take a two goal lead, give it away in a blur, seize it back in extra time and then surrender it again. Messi was named the best player of the tournament and with his latest feat, the debate of who is the greatest player of all time has finally been settled in favor of the Argentine.
With Argentina now back in their country to celebrate with their compatriots, Messi took his to social media handle to share more photos of himself with the World Cup. This time, the 35 year old could be seen lying on his hotel bed with the trophy and captioned it “Good Morning”. In one photo he acts like he’s sleeping, in another he is drinking a beverage .
