As the general 2023 Presidential election set to kick-off in the next few days in Nigeria and the commencement of the Presidential campaign, many Nigerians, top politicians have been sharing their views regarding the Presidential candidates and their performance while in office in the past.
Based on these notes, a factional National Publicity Secretary of the SDP, Alpha Muhammad while speaking during an exclusive interview with the Punch Newspaper has alleged that the former governor of Anambra State and Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Gregory Obi made school fees less affordable for the people of Anambra State during his time as the governor of the state.
Further speaking, Alpha Muhammad alleged that the performance of the former governor of Lagos State and Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu in education attracted many people from Anambra to Lagos State because he made education free during his time as the governor of Lagos State.
According to Alpha Muhammad, he said, “When Peter Obi was busy increasing school fees in Anambra State, Tinubu was busy introducing free education, Anambra were rushing to Lagos to benefit from free education. Every day, you see a truckload of people going to Lagos in buses to benefit from Tinubu’s free education”.
