A South-East Group Gives Reason For Wanting To Work Against Peter Obi In The FCT And Northern States

According to Sahara Reporters publication, The Igbo Town Union General Assembly, a South-East with members from all 19 states in the North as well as the FCT, Abuja, has vowed not to support Peter Obi, in the forthcoming 2023 national elections. The reason why the group took this decision was revealed in address by the group’s leader Collins Ajali.

Speaking during a visit on Thursday to the Governor of Imo State, the group gave their reasons for supporting the ruling party as they believe that APC would win the 2023 general elections as they are not only In government, but also in power, which means that they have authority in the northern states and the nation. According to the group leader, the decision to support ApC in the 2023 general election was a unianimous decision. However, the group told Uzodimma that they intend working against Peter Obi, by pledging to help the governor through its network and platform.

Speaking to the group, Uzodinma asserted that the participants had chosen wisely by supporting the ruling party. In addition, he praised the group’s organizational abilities and vowed to treat the issues they brought up carefully.
