Andre Ayew reportedly rushed to the hospital following Ghana’s World Cup match against Uruguay to check on his daughter, who collapsed during the game.

The girl is said to have collapsed as a result of his father’s missed penalty in the 2-0 loss that sent the Black Stars home from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
But, thankfully, she is fine and has returned home.
The Black Stars failed to recover from captain Andre Ayew’s missed penalty, and Uruguay took advantage, scoring twice in six minutes.
The South Americans won 2-0, but it wasn’t enough to keep them in the tournament.
Ghana would have advanced if they had drawn with Uruguay.
Ghanaian fans in Doha were ecstatic after the Black Stars defended well in the final minutes to deny Uruguay a third goal that would have secured their qualification.

Black Stars were hoping for revenge after the heartbreak of 2010. Luis Suarez handled the ball on the goal line, denying Ghana a late winner in the quarterfinal match.
Before the game, the former Barcelona man said it was not his fault that Ghana did not qualify because he was sent off and the Black Stars were awarded a penalty which Asamoah Gyan squandered.
Andre Ayew’s penalty miss on Friday made Ghana the first country in World Cup history to miss two penalties against the same team.
