Following the reduction in price of petroleum products by 0.3p in late November during which the price of petrol and desiel which was trading at GH¢17.99 and Gh¢23 respectively. In December it has been reduced further to GH¢15.41 and GH¢18.86 respectively at Goil and GH¢14.99 and GH¢17.69 at ZEN.
Petroleum products is one of the derivative force which can change the economy of any country for better or worst. In recent times the price of petrol and desiel have led to an inflation of 40.4% which makes the economy very difficult and hard for the average Ghanaian to survive.
Goil and ZEN which trade in petroleum products have announced a drastic reduction of prices of petrol and desiel with the recent price going for GH¢15.41 and GH¢18.89 for petrol and desiel in Goil. Whereas ZEN new price includes GH¢14.99 for petrol and GH¢17.69 for desiel and this took effect 1st December 2022.
Following this reduction in price of petrol and desiel transport fairs is also expected to get down in the coming days as well as a downward projection in prices of goods and services has been instigated. This reduction will go a long way to minimizing the high cost of living in the country for the average Ghanaian and to jeopardize the rate at which inflation is rising.
