Ex-Dortmund Striker Praises Black Stars Despite Portugal Defeat

Ex-Black Stars striker, Ibrahim Tanko has praised the chemistry of the current squad despite their loss against Portugal.

The Black Stars made a jerky start to their World Cup campaign after falling to Portugal at the 974 Stadium in the opening game.

The Black Stars went down first before they pulled level but failed to get their arches right and fell down by two straight goals in a space of two minutes.

They pulled one back but that was not enough to rescue a point for them against Portugal and in the end they lost 3-2 after full time.

“When you see the chemistry between the training, the coaches and the players I think everything is nice.

“So we hope that everyone will stay fit and then going to the World Cup game against Portugal.

“Definitely I’m sure we are going to have a very god side.” Ibrahim Tanko said.

Tanko alongside former Kotoko and Hearts of Oak trainers, Prosper Narteh Ogum and Samuel Boadu are understudying the Black Stars technical team at the World Cup.
