Fresh News Hits Black Stars Camp Ahead of Portugal Clash

The Black Stars of Ghana will open their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign against Portugal on Thursday, November 24 at the 974 stadium.

The Black Stars are making their fourth FIFA World Cup appearance after their maiden entry in the 2006 edition held in Germany.

The Black Stars managed to finish at the round 16 after managing to qualify out of the group stage.

There was an improved performance in the second appearance which was held in South Africa in 2010.

The Black Stars qualified out of the group and moved all the way into the quarter final stage and eventually lost to Uruguay via the penalty shootouts.

The Black Stars next FIFA World Cup appearance was the 2014 edition which was held in Brazil but Ghana failed woefully in that tournament.

The Black Stars collected only one point in the group game and exited much to the disappointment of the entire nation.

The failed to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia but have managed to go book a slot for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
