Ghanaian veteran actor, Fred Amugi has slammed critics who have labeled him a “beggar” following his appeal to be put on a billboard as a brand ambassador.

Recall that Fred Amugi pleaded with companies and institutions to honor him now that he is alive by making him a brand ambassador before he dies.

“One wish I’d want to have for my 74th birthday is to see myself on a billboard as a brand ambassador. I wouldn’t want to die before I am mounted on a billboard, where I wouldn’t see what is being done for me.”

“I’m prepared to be a brand ambassador for your products. Use me whiles I’m alive and not when I’m dead and gone,” he appealed to brands in a viral video.”

His appeal caught the attention of the Chief Executive Officer of Caveman Watches, Anthony Dzamefe who met with the veteran in his office and shared photos of their meeting on social media with the caption “Deals”.

However, some social media users insinuated that Fred Amugi was begging for money. But he has come out to debunk the rumors saying that he only wanted a job and not begging for money.
