Asante Kotoko to Sack Coach Zerbo After RTU Defeat?

Kumasi Asante Kotoko were shocked to the marrow on Saturday when Real Tamale United gave them a football lesson.

Asante Kotoko were going into their week eight Ghana Premier League match at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Saturday with high hopes.

The Porcupine Warriors were the winners of the Ghana Premier League last season and participated in the coveted CAF Champions League.

They however failed to go past the preliminary stage of the competition having lost to Burkina Faso side, Rail Club de Kadiogo over two legs.

The first leg ended in a 1-0 win over Kadiogo in Bénin with Rail Club de Kadiogo posting the same score line in the second leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Burkina Faso side went through to the next phase of the competition through a 3-1 penalty shootouts victory over Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports .

Asante turned attention to the local league and ended up producing quality results but were given a shock of their lives in the week eight game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors shot themselves into the lead and held on to the slim one goal lead into the half time break.

Real Tamale United returned for the second half well drilled and took control of the game ended up rallying from a goal down to beat Kotoko 2-1 in the process.
